We provide trusted information, practical support, and inclusive community programmes that promote healthier lifestyles, prevention, early awareness, and emotional wellbeing.At Live Cancer Free, we support people affected by cancer while also helping communities improve their overall health through education, physical activity, nutrition, creative wellbeing activities, and social connection. We believe that good health should be accessible to everyone, regardless of background or language.


Meet the Team

Dr Abeer Kholghi

BDS, MSc, PhD (Cancer Chemoprevention – University of Leicester)

Dr Abeer Kholghi is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Live Cancer Free. She is a dedicated health professional and researcher with a strong academic background in cancer prevention and community health. The organisation was established in memory of a close family member lost to cancer, and this personal experience continues to drive her commitment to improving health outcomes, wellbeing, and access to support for underserved communities.


Dr Ban Alwash

BSc, MSc, PhD (Cancer Chemoprevention – University of Leicester)

Dr Ban Alwash is a Director at Live Cancer Free with over ten years’ experience in delivering community-based health and wellbeing projects. She is also a cancer awareness specialist and plays a key role in developing accessible, culturally sensitive education and prevention programmes.


Mrs Uzma Paveen

Mrs Uzma Paveen is a Director at Live Cancer Free. She is a reliable and energetic member of the team who has made a valuable contribution to the organisation since joining. Her commitment and organisational support help ensure that our health and wellbeing activities run smoothly within the community.


Dr Ola Othman

BSc, MSc (Public Health Nutrition)

Dr Ola Othman is the Nutrition Advisor at Live Cancer Free. She brings extensive international experience in public health nutrition and has contributed to international nutritional guidelines and academic journals. Her expertise supports our health and wellbeing work by promoting balanced nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and disease prevention.
